We are proud to announce the launch of a new professional learning course for carers and care professionals aimed at making language learning accessible to senior learners in any care setting to enhance their well-being while tackling social isolation. This is the fruit of our long-standing collaboration with The Open University in Scotland. The course Learning Languages with Senior Learners covers a variety of study materials revolving around the theory and practice of learning languages for the well-being of senior learners.

15 weeks
Distance learning, including study materials, a dedicated tutor, a student forum and online tutorials (in the evening)
No prior language knowledge is required
Next start: 9th February 2026
Price: £149 pp, group concessions available.

This online course is for anyone working with older people, either in paid or unpaid care settings, interested in languages and cultures and/or basic knowledge of another language. You can start a joint language learning journey with your senior learner/s to develop your own skill set and help promote their brain health, boost their self-esteem, and enhance the well-being of everyone involved.
