Italian (Online)
“You may have the universe if I may have Italy.” So wrote Italian composer Verdi, and he may be onto something. From its food, the envy of the world, to Michelangelo's masterpieces, not to mention the grandeur of Rome, or Renaissance splendour of Florence, the country almost groans under the weight of its own beauty, incredible history and cultural cachet. So, how many more reasons do you need to join our Italian lessons, learn the local lingo and give yourself a taste of that sun-kissed slow life the Italians are famed for?
Hatchling will give you an intro into the Italian language. You will learn how to pronounce the alphabet and order a cappuccino like a pro as well as building up some basic vocab and Italian cultural knowledge.
If you are a beginner, we recommend that you attend a full 10-week Hatchling course. This will have you ripe and ready to continue as a Chick in the future.
Chick will introduce you to Italian grammar and give you the building blocks for learning the language. As well as grammar, the chick course will increase your knowledge about how to construct sentences and will give you enough knowledge to experience la dolce vita on trips to Bella Italia.
We expect students to continue with the Chick classes for several blocks (around 30 -40 weeks) before moving up to the next level. We work hard to ensure that each semester is an exciting blend of new learning and topics alongside recapping and reinforcing previous lessons.
In Post Chick you will start learning about new tenses as well as beginning to have short conversations in italiano. Post chick will enable you to increase your comprehension and pronunciation skills so much that you will sound like a nuanced Neapolitan in no time!
